Champs-Elysees Paris

Champs-Elysees, Paris sightseeing

Champs-Elysees, which runs through the heart of Paris’ affluent and majestic 8th arrondissement, is Paris’ most iconic and one of Europe’s most famous streets.

Formerly, the Paris sightseeing street did not offer much more than fast food restaurants and dull shops. Since then, the street has become a Paris sightseeing home to new restaurants and hotels, Paris vacation rentals, luxury stores and renovated landmarks such as the Grand Palais and the Arc de Triomphe. Paris vacation rentals are a great and affordable alternative to hotels.

The Champs-Elysees is a symbolic gathering place for all sorts of special occasions. The glass-dome Grand Palais and the Petit Palais are both located to the south of the Paris sightseeing avenue.

Additional antique dealers and luxury shops lie just north of the avenue. On the west end of Champs-Elysees, visitors flock to the Arc de Triomphe that stands tall above place Charles-de-Gualle (L’Etoile). The Arc de Triomphe was built by Napolean in honor of the Revolutionary armies.

Visitors get a great view of the square from the top of the Arc. There are several Paris vacation rentals options near this area.
