Holiday Rentals & Paris Historic Buildings

Holiday Rentals in Paris -  Paris Holiday Flats
Paris is made up mostly of historic buildings. Historic buildings in Europe have a different definition than in the United States. What we call historic buildings in Miami Beach would be considered rather new in Europe.
Buildings in Paris were inspired by state-of-the-art construction methods of the era. Buildings were strong and solid and interior partitions were made of heavy stones and concrete.

Buildings in the U.S by comparison seem very weak and fragile. In comparison, buildings in Paris may date back to the 14th century and most were built during the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Apartments of that era were very spacious and comfortable. Most holiday rentals in Paris are located within historic buildings. Obviously the Paris holiday flats were rehabilitated and modernized over the decades and offer modern amenities such as elevators, modern bathrooms, kitchens, etc.

However, it is not uncommon to find holiday rentals in Paris without elevators. Some vacationers in Paris are still surprised to see Paris holiday flats without AC. The truth is, old holiday rentals in Paris have thick walls and are well insulated and protected from the heat.

Additionally, weather in Paris is usually mild with summers that are not very hot. Most Paris holiday flats do not have AC because in Paris, AC is used maybe 3 weeks out of the year. If AC is a required for you, specify that in your request.

Owners of holiday rentals in Paris are aware that AC may be important and a lot of them are now providing AC systems. Tourists will be able to find Paris holiday flats of all levels of luxury and budgets.

Most holiday rentals in Paris are indeed in buildings. Single family homes are rather rare in Paris.
